A commercially experienced (2-5 Yrs) Customer Support Technician is
required to provide a comprehensive technical service within a workshop
facility for our clients internal and external customers.
The successful candidate will provide technical support and deliver
technical training courses to all customers and field based staff and
technicians.
Skills Required:
ONC/HNC qualified in Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical Engineering
or equivalent.
2-5 years commercial experience of the diagnosis, repair and servicing
of electro-mechanical equipment
Previous experience in a customer facing role
Proven Man-management experience
Good organisation skills
IT literate
Strong customer service skills
Be self motivated, positive and resilient with a high level of initiative
Full UK Driving Licence
Key Tasks:
Pre-commissioning and preparing all machines for despatch, including
the provision of software operator manuals
Providing a service for the burning of E-Proms against customer request
Maintaining hardcopy/softcopy technical library for all machine types
including third party equipment
Diagnosing faults efficiently and repairing all machines in accordance
with manufacturers' guidelines
Managing the rolling stock take programme for field-based technicians
Administrating the maintenance and calibration of all test equipment
and reference instruments
Preparing machines and the workshop area for all technical training
programmes
Co-ordinating the repair of all machines with major faults
Providing on-site cover for trials, installations, repairs and servicing
when required
Handling of technical queries from both internal and external customers
Maintaining a comprehensive stock of consumables and firmware
Identifying and escalating all health and safety matters in accordance
with Company Policy
Collating out of box failures and identifying recurring faults
Managing the Company's electrical safety testing procedure and activities
Supporting training and coaching of newly recruited technicians
Recommending improvements to existing Technical Services processes and
procedures
Maintaining the workshop to an acceptable standard .
