HEAD OF RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERING
(DIRECTOR DESIGNATE)

Leading a team of five engineers you will be managing mainly electro-mechanical design projects with emphasis on high-pressure hydraulic flow measurement and flow control.

Your brief will be to manage all engineering resources and to enable the company to meet marketing plans for future growth through timely delivery of both new product developments and productivity improvements. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will work closely with other department managers. You will be making strategic design engineering decisions to ensure that designs are functional and cost effective, as well as to facilitate the smooth handover to manufacturing.

You will have experience of working to internationally recognised engineering standards as well as ISO 9001:2000 and relevant environmental and health and safety legislation. As this is a Director Designate position, we would expect candidates to demonstrate vision, drive and determination commensurate of a future company director. You will be qualified to degree level in engineering, with experience in mechanical engineering and materials, electronics and fluid dynamics. You will have at least fifteen years engineering experience of which five years is in a senior mechanical design engineering role.
