Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Analysis Engineer to work in a dynamic and fast moving Cambridge based company as a Quality and Failure Analysis engineer. This work will be critical to the development of an emerging class of products.Reporting to the Group leader, this critical role will involve:- Yield testing batches of displays daily and assigning display and pixel failure to multiple failure mechanisms. - Interfacing internally with the engineers fabricating batches of displays, feeding back results and providing guidance for future experiments.- Associating display and pixel yield to variations in the process by SPC and other means.This senior role will be a mixture of project management and hands-on work and will drive the processes to achieve 100% yield. The successful candidate will be an engineer with demonstrable industrial experience (preferably more than 5 years) in a manufacturing environment, preferably semiconductors/electronics. Experience in the implementation and use of statistical process control techniques or quality control and failure analysis would be a distinct advantage. Education should be to 1st degree level or above in a relevant discipline, particularly Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Physics.The candidate will be expected to take the lead in evolving and implementing test and quality control systems to test and analyse batches on a daily basis. The successful candidate will also be a team player capable of powerful problem solving skills, a high level of written and oral communication and a cheerful, flexible approach to working in an environment with tight deadlines and often rapidly changing priorities.
