As one of today’s leading edge technology organisation involved in the design, manufacture and technical excellence of high specification products, our client now needs to recruit an experienced and a well-qualified Electrical Improvements Engineer to be responsible for the creation of electrical & some mechanical improvement solutions for new and old products, enabling them to be produced more efficiently.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be working closely with the production, purchasing and R&D engineering departments as well as gathering information from other sources
e.g. component manufacturers/sub contract supply companies prior to completing both manufacturing and assembly drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing procedures.

Previous experience of CE marking, BS7671, EN 6204 and other applicable EC product safety legislation with an understanding of design standards such as BS 8888, BS EN61010 is essential as is the need to work within the company’s quality procedures conforming to ISO9001: 2000.

Qualified to a HNC or a bachelor’s degree level in electrical, electronic or Mechatronics engineering., you must have a minimum of 3 years electrical CAD experience in the use of ME10 or AUTOCAD – with the ability to create detail, circuit and system / layout drawings. In addition previous experience in as many areas as possible from analysis, power amplifiers, large transformers, control systems and project management in a electrical/electronic and systems environment would be highly desirable
