Our client, is one of today’s leading edge technology companies involved in the design, manufacture and technical excellence of high specification products for the research and design industry.

To continue their push for excellence they now need to recruit an experienced and a well-qualified Electrical Engineer to drive forward the development of Special Projects with full responsibility for Quotation of custom products ("specials"), installations of product range, project management, technical support, design of special mechanical elements and performance of overall system.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you must have had a minimum of 5 years project management experience in a electro mechanical and systems environment. Previous exposure to one or more of the following: Test and Measurement technologies including power amplifiers, noise analysis, hydraulics, fabricated steel structures, site work and control systems is strongly preferred.
Additionally you have had at least 3 years electrical CAD experience – with the ability to create circuit diagrams and simple layout drawings. Experience of IGBTs and MOSFETs, power electronics and CE marking and other applicable safety legislation would be a distinct advantage.

Qualified to degree level in Electrical, electronics or Physics, you must have a right first time mentality with a desire to meet Project deadlines and milestones on time and to budget.
You must be an effective communicator especially with customers, sales personnel and operations, as well as within the engineering team.
