Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical
Technician to support all necessary processes within the laboratories,
offices and plant areas by assisting administrative and research staff.
You will have involvement with all aspects of Research Assistance, Facilities
Assistance and Office Assistance.
Your
responsibilities will include providing assistance in the design, construction
and testing of bespoke hardware, Preparing research materials under
established procedures and operating research equipment under instruction.
You
will be required to ensure that all areas are maintained in a clean
& tidy condition, within any safety criteria.
Other duties will include performing routine safety checks and facility
status monitoring, assisting in the preventative maintenance (PM) programme,
performing equipment repairs under instruction and Photolithographic
processing.
You will be educated to a minimum of "A" level standard within a technical
discipline with some experience of working within an engineering/laboratory
environment.
Knowledge of mechanical engineering, electronics and equipment operation
is highly desirable.
Additionally you will have a good working knowledge of using Word and
Excel.
You must be a logical thinker with excellent problem solving ability.
