Our client is a specialist Process Engineering Organisation within the Design and Manufacturing of bespoke equipment for the food industry.
The main market on a world-wide basis consists of industrial bakery (bread, roll, pizza, doughnut, bagel etc.)
They are now seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take full responsibility for project completions.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for Directing the design process and making design decisions, Maintenance and construction of parts lists, Assisting in the procurement of parts for each project and Supervision of contract design office staff where required. In addition you will be required to Supporting the shop floor and field staff to enable them to build, install and commission designs in an efficient manner, Providing on-site support from the Design Office, Assisting with the formation of Quotations and associated costings and Working within and establishing required time scales for projects.

Ideally, you will be qualified to HNC/HND level with a minimum of 3 years experience of managing multiple projects and the design and development of special purpose machines using CAD (AUTOCAD and other design tools).
Experience of reviewing and updating of Design Office systems and procedures along with a good broad engineering design experience is essential.
Previous experience of DFMA principles and the need to provide cover for colleagues during absence is essential.
