Our client seeks an experienced engineer to Design, develop and customise
their range of products to meet the individual requirements of customers.
Based within the Research and Development department, they require a
degree-qualified engineer to work as part of a small development team
to produce practical, economical design solutions for new products and
associated electromechanical modules, either alone or under the guidance
of a project engineer.
The work runs from Project conception and carries on through to eventual
introduction to production. The projects are both new projects and improvements
to existing Products.
Due to the nature of vibration equipment the design is Multi-disciplined,
so a broad background in mechanical engineering is required including
some electrical ability.
Any
specialisation in the following areas would be beneficial: vibration,
stress analysis, thermal modelling and magnetic design. Similarly knowledge
of FEA (Mechanica), CFD (Fluent) or Magnetic modelling (Magnet) would
be an asset. Key skills are: Logic, objectivity, problem solving, good
communication and teamwork.
Ideally you will be educated to degree level (HNC minimum) and experienced
in a low volume ISO 9000 manufacturing environment with experience in
medium to heavy engineering, fabrication of structures, precision machining,
pneumatics/hydraulics, casting, sheet metal and mechatronics.
Must be capable of taking design information from concept through to
manufacture and be an experienced CAD user.
Knowledge of MRP systems and Microsoft products is essential.
